Information for Adopting or Fostering
Here you will find all of the information
you will need to adopt one of our
precious rescues!

You can now fill out an Adoption
Application online!

Our Adoption Process is as follows:
1) Download, complete, and return you adoption
application to us via email or fax to (337) 478-6455.

2) Your application will be reviewed and your
references checked. If you have not been on file
with a Veterinarian in the last 3 years please
complete that section of the form with 2 personal
references.

3) Upon review of your application you will be
notified of your adoption status with us.
4) If your application is approved we will contact via
email to set up a convenient time to conduct a
phone interview.

4) Phone Interview- During the phone interview you
will learn all there is to know about the pet you wish
to adopt. We will also set up time that is convenient
for all parties involved in which the Home Visitation
will be conducted. *Please note that you may be
asked for photos of your home and yard*

5) Home Visitation- During the home visitation our
representatives will request to see all parts of your
home and yard, especially the areas where your
new pet will frequent. Please note that the pet you
are interested in adopting may or may not be
present during the visitation. Upon passing home
visitation we will complete all necessary adoption
paperwork and your new pet may or may not be left
with you. There are instances where we will visit
your home more than once to help the rescued pet
ease into his or her new environment while still
being with the people they have learned to trust.

*Please, only fill out an adoption application if
you sincerely wish to adopt a pet from us. We
have been receiving too many applicants who
do not follow through. Understand that this
rescue is run in the spare time of caring people
who have full time jobs, school, and families.*

If you agree with this adoption process please
